The Heritage Foundation’s 2013 Resource Bank conference featured a Common Core panel, entitled “Putting the brakes on Common Core.”  Speakers included Lindsey Burke of the Heritage Foundation, Jim Sterios of the Pioneer Institute, Ted Rebarber of Accountability Works, and grassroots activists Heather Crossin and Christel Swasey.

Heather was honored to be included and asked to tell the story of how Indiana delivered the first big blow to the Common Core!  The you-tube video can be seen here.

  1. RM Thomasson says:

Heather did an excellent job of detailing the many dangers of Common Core. We must remember everywhere to stand against this over reach of government once again. And with Common Core they would be creeping into our very homes to control parents and to curtail the potential of our children’s future. Uniformity will not give our children an anvenue to reach what we as parents know about the children we are raising and love. And the funds they will “bate” with are not worth it. What the Federal Government funds it will control.
