Rick Santorum- an ally for parents against Common Core

Hoosiers Against Common Core dined with Rick Santorum during his recent visit to Indiana. He was completely supportive of our position on the Common Core and was disappointed to learn  Indiana’s  retreat from the Common Core was a grand deception and only a rebrand of the national standards.

As many of our readers know, the Common Core is a big issue that takes a long time to digest. We found Santorum to be well versed on the issue, beyond the static talking points. I can always tell a person’s quickness of mind, at least on the issue of Common Core, by the questions they ask after Heather and I do our “spiel.” We can tend to get into the weeds a bit.

Santorum was smart, asked intelligent questions,  he got it.

He will be a huge asset to the anti-Common Core movement.
