Do you think the Common Core math standards will fail?

They did the last time.

Watch this video by Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Stanford University,  James Milgram, who explains this is NOTHING NEW and the results will be no different.

    Thanks so much for this. I just replayed it on fb with my heartfelt “dissertation” on the topic. This site is such an encouragement to me as a 2.5 years retired Central Florida math teacher whose eyes are finally opened to this travesty.

    Thank you for this video. As an aspiring teacher at Purdue I understand what Milgram is saying. Even for people like me who have a more rigorous curriculum in University, with Common Core I’d still have to turn around and under-educate kids for college. Just this morning my probability professor said Indiana was foolish to reject Common Core. She said it’s because Hoosiers think they’re special. I honestly don’t know how these otherwise brilliant people can’t see simple points like the ones in this video.
